“Amadeus” Takes Stage at Sabancı University Sakura Festival

Sabancı University is introducing one of the most magnificent productions in the theater world, Amadeus, to art lovers as part of its traditional Sakura Festival. The play, which tells the striking story of two unforgettable names in world music history, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, will be performed on Saturday, April 4th at 8:00 PM at the Sabancı University Performing Arts Center (SGM).

In the production, Selçuk Yöntem plays Antonio Salieri, Tansu Biçer plays Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and the character of Constanze Weber is performed alternately by Dilan Çiçek Deniz and Özlem Öçalmaz.

Amadeus, which is among the most talked-about productions of the season with its huge cast of 70 actors, has played to sold-out audiences for six seasons and has reached more than 450,000 viewers to date. 

All ticket revenues from the performance will be transferred to the “Make a Promise for the Future” Scholarship Fund to support Sabancı University students. The event aims to combine the transformative power of art with social responsibility, offering both an unforgettable experience for the audience and a source of hope for the students.
